I spent a lot of time watching this mother and baby pair at the snow monkey park in Yudanaka, Japan. The close trust relationship between them was wonderful to see.

I had the privilege of spending a week observing a group of Alaksan brown bears in the Alaskan summer of 2023. The tenderness of this young mother with her twin cubs was incredibly moving (and check out those claws!)

Taken at a city wildlife park, this silverback gorilla was sitting in his den with only a glass window between us. I managed to get one shot before he moved away - sometimes you only need one.

Gorgeous afternoon light framed this whio (blue duck) as he enjoyed the warmth of the sun on the banks of the Whanganui River.

An abandoned freezing works on the banks of the Mawhera River lent itself to a multiple exposure treatment - it felt to me like something out of a post-apocalyptic movie .
